Earthquakes, tsunamis, floods wreak havoc
Typhoons, tornadoes, blizzards turn tragic
Calamities and disasters strike almost at will
Yet we ignore warnings, causing great peril

Man has evolved many thousand years
He invented raising fire and agriculture
Transportation and Medicine followed
He championed industrialization
Yet he chased luxuries after necessities
When good and bad trailed in tandem,
he celebrated the good, but obscured the bad

He valued wealth, and ignored nature
He cherished power, but neglected environment
He prized growth, and overlooked climate
He flew to into space chasing Mars and planets afar
Taking for granted his precious home star

Every disaster in the past bore a stern warning
Does a calamity in the present force an understanding?
If Man were a child, then Mother Nature is his parent
A child would comply when a parent disciplines with love
Why does Man ignore when Mother Nature warns above?

Man……
has technology and is intelligent
knows to foster unity in adversity
can be patient and perseverant
thrives to conquer fear for prosperity

Let’s pause, reflect, and think
Let’s strategize, plan, and act
Let’s protect nature and save the planet
Let’s be smart and show some heart

Heart for the planet that spins forever,
to give us sun, moon, rain and shine
Heart for the star that cradles our dome
Heart for Earth, our biggest home
