As balmy waves, and
lofty tides
crash ashore…
We draw feelings
often alike in their depth,
yet disparate in form…
Pleasure is one such
calming the eyes and ears
Inspiration is another
claiming the mind and soul…
Lost in the script of nature,
we assume the elements
and their core and purpose,
just nourishing our desires…
Like a veil separating
a comic’s rigors
and their patron’s joy…
A latent façade splits
Nature’s subtle battles
and our very own interests…
Sand and water,
between themselves
battle the greatest of illusions –
Illusion of Separation.
The Creator, I reckon, was smart!
He gifted it to Nature
in its original form — Illusion,
while giving to us
in its hardened guise – Verity.
